Don was born and raised in the city of Richmond. he attended Richmond public schools in an era when many of his teachers had also taught his parents. While Pursuing a degree in music from the University of Richmond he financed his education by working at one time or another as a skip tracer, a local musician, a repo man and various jobs in circulation at Richmond newspapers inc.
He parlayed his music background into an introduction to the about to explode hi-fi industry of the early 1970s. He worked for companies such as Alpine, Sony, Marantz, jbl and Nakamichi. Over the next 30 years he worked on a national level selling Circuit City, Best Buy, Sears and other major electronics retailers AROUND the country. When an opportunity to stop traveling five days a week came along in 2000, he eagerly accepted a position at wtvr TV. As a senior account executive, don works with both local and national level businesses and organizations with their marketing strategies.
Don lives by one hard and fast rule…never let a member of the Corleone family sit behind you in a car or rowboat.
